I enjoy watching both speeches since the speaker is trying to help the audience to how to properly deliver their own speech. How to effectively communicate with others or how to hook any audience is not really that complicated, the first part of whatever is the presetantion we’re giving, has to captivate attention, you’ve got to have humor, provocative questions, props… and there are many ways to do that, but the first minute, do not get right into what you’re saying, don’t tell them (the audience) what you’re talking about. Capture their attention. Best way of introducing ourselves is to be interesting, always try to keep your introduction short, mention about what you’re doing for a living, like for example: I am in my third year of Bachelor’s Program, build a relationship, and lastly, we have to mind our body language. I found the techniques given by the speaker really helpful and even more for those who are not as comfortable as others doing a public speech.
