The virus has changed things. Maybe you’re still able to get out and observe a group of folks (at a safe distance) and follow the original assignment. If you’re not able to do that, you could look at the impact the virus has had on our culture. Lots of questions you can ask and directions you can take. For example, what determines how people react? How well (or poorly) do we adapt our culture? What obstacles get in our way? Can you identify different subcultures? Where do they come from? For these observations, you could use media reports of different events/activities. (If you do use outside sources, be sure to cite them.) If you have questions about this, please ask.
