Be aware that your tone and level of professionalism will set the stage for the beginning of your dissertation process.
The Assignment (2�3 pages):
Provide a list of three or four Faculty Members whom you would like to invite to serve on your dissertation committee. List them according to your preference.
Faculty Members: Dr. Nicoletta Alexander, Dr. Kmberly Dixon-Lawson, and Dr.Shanna Louise Barnett.
� Explain why you selected each person and what role (i.e., dissertation chair or dissertation committee member) you think each would play on your committee.
� Compose a draft e-mail that you would send to these potential committee members. Your e-mail should include an introduction, a description of your topic, premise, and a summary (4�5 sentences) of what you have found thus far from your literature review.
