Part A: Physician Behaviors
Congratulations, you did such a terrific job in this course that your local hospital has hired you to create a full-day continuing education course for area physicians. The topic is Problematic Physician Behaviors and Regulation. Using the material presented so far in this course, provide a four-paragraph overview defining the topics that should be addressed. Topics must address legal and ethical issues. Due to the time constraint of one 8-hour day, you may need to choose between issues. Explain why the issues you choose are the most important to address.
Your reflection should be four to five full, substantive paragraphs in length.
Part B: Facility Licensure
Visit the NY state website for regulating hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Find a case that addresses the obtaining of a license, maintaining a license, or disciplinary action, relative to a facility. Remember this exercise addresses licensing and regulating of a facility, not an individual’s professional license. Provide a four to five paragraph response describing the facts, the legal issue involved, the resolution and the lesson the case has for licensees.
Initial posts should be four to five full, substantive paragraphs in length.

Review the sites. Find a legal topic relative to healthcare that interests you. Clearly reference the statute or issue that you are addressing. Post a paper detailing the issue. In your final paragraph, tell us how the issue could affect your current or future employment.
Suggestions:
- You could find three or four cases dealing with the same legal topic or issue. Summarize the cases in your own words. Do not copy and paste the cases into your paper. Then compare-and-contrast them.
- You could describe and discuss a legal procedural issue, explaining how the agency handles certain matters.
Recommended Length: 3-4 pages, plus references. Due Sunday at 11:59 PM.
