You can write a three-page paper on ONE of the following topics:

• New Orleans Parks and Parkways Division
  • Your paper should provide:
    • an overview of the division (number of employees, number of parks, total area, types of parks; budget (if available));
    • the different types of parks;
    • the amenities they offer;
    • the services they provide.
• The Texas Main Street Program
  • Your paper should provide:
    • An overview of the program (number of employees, number of participating local governments, budget)
    • Process for designating a community a “Main Street Community”;
    • Provide numerous examples of Main Street cities and the programs they offer; this should include programs related to historic preservation, business growth, and programs promoting social activities in downtown areas. At least one of the programs above should be from Huntsville (you can sub your hometown if it is a Main Street City).
