this course regarding African Americans and create a unique project
highlighting African Americans in Houston or Texas.
What is a question(s) about African American History do you want to answer through this project?
Options:
- Research African Americans in Houston area and design a campaign to have a school library, city hall room, or street named after them
- Research African Americans buried in College Park Cemetery or any other African American cemetery
- Create a community tour of sites in Houston area related to African Americans(booklet, virtual, in-person)
- Create a virtual tour of sites in any city (HistoryPin, Clio, etc.)
- Design a coloring book for African American history
- Write/illustrate a children’s book (A is for… / a story about one person or time period / choose your own adventure) A-Z
- Design a museum or create a virtual museum related to African American history in Texas
