Choose a key point or key argument you plan to make in your newsletter article. You should pick something that you saw or learned on the field trip and that can be expanded upon by drawing on written references (reports, studies, articles). Some ideas might include the hazards associated with the pipeline, the effects pipeline construction has had on local people, local residents’ interactions with FERC and other regulatory agencies, or possible economic impacts of the MVP.
Describe the field trip you attended and the observations you made that were related to this key point.
- Expand upon this key point through reports and other written materials in our google folder or that you find on your own.
- You must draw on at least four references, only one of which may be a newspaper article.
- The article draft must be between 1,000-2,000 words (4-8 pages typed, double spaced)
- Include a list of references at the end of the article. References are not included in the word count and should be formatted using ASA (American Sociological Association) style.
