CASE STUDY: Considering ethical dilemmas will give you an opportunity to explore your own ethical standards and beliefs. Because, as humans, we can be cynical and callous about ethical issues you will have the opportunity to explore these issues using Kant’s categorical imperative and Bentham and Mill’s utilitarian perspectives rather than your own. By doing this you are able to “try on” these criteria and in the process think more deeply about ethical principles. In some cases you will be asked for your own perspective too.
