1. Search for grant opportunities towards breast cancer funding. The grant does not need to be a current grant that is accepting applications.
2. Write a sample grant plan to fund a population health initiative that would improve outcomes in breast cancer awareness and early detection.
3. The health initiative will be Breast cancer awareness in the African Immigrant population in the DMV area.

The focus of this grant assignment is in direct relationship to the push all hospitals are facing, to improve the health of patients outside of the hospital to prevent admissions. The best way for hospitals to do this is to build programs in collaboration with community resources to improve or prevent health conditions before or after an admission.
