The audience for my EBP proposal on bedside handoff will be the EBP committee, nursing leadership, educator, project leader, unit champions, and staff nurses in the unit. According to Melynk & Fineout-Overholt, support from involve stakeholders are crucial to the organization, it creates a positive effect in the implementation process (2015). Decision makers in this project will ensure the timeline is met to achieve the outcome. Strategies that will likely be taken in order to disseminate the project will require clear expectations, effective communication, and provide a clear goal to accomplished the outcome (Aarons, Reeder, Miller, & Stadnick, 2020). In order to disseminate the bedside handoff proposal, the evidence can be communicated effectively through education by using poster boards that will be placed in the unit, adding it in the practice alert monthly update that is sent through emails, PowerPoint education, brochures, and oral presentations during bedside huddle in the unit. Creating a brochure on bedside handoff practice that will be part of an admission handouts to patients will create awareness to patients regarding unit expectations during nursing report as well. Providing a clear expectations using a well format, filled with graphics can enhance the delivery method, thus capturing the audience (Melynk & Fineout-Overholt, 2015).
