Creating a database is a multistep process that takes a considerable amount of dedication and focus. To start a database project, one should first organize a goal that aligns with a business or organizational goal that they are working with or for. Individual information systems are not deemed viable and can be worth much more to a company if they coincide with the current mission of the organization (Coronel & Morris, 2017). During the requirements gathering and analysis phase, it is crucial to pull information from the right places to better understand why a change needs to occur or why additional information through a database would be helpful. One group of highly important stakeholders are the end users. The system designers should work with these users to uncover valuable information. This could be things such as what issues they are running into with the current system or database (Coronel & Morris, 2017). This could also reveille areas of need for information that could be useful for their jobs. Another group to elicit information from is the board of the organization as they are the ones who have established the goals and mission of the company. As discussed earlier, this is a cornerstone in establishing a new database. Also discussing system requirements and technology available with the IT team will render useful information of what is possible and compatible for the new database. During the anlysis phase, it is important to remember that this is not the final end product but is what is desired to be made. In other words it is a goal of what is to be made and not how it is to be made. Stakeholders for this step should include all of the ones listed above but most importantly it will be those who are funding and in charge of the organization requesting the database (Database Design Resources, 2021).

In the process of the gathering and analysis phase of the data-based project, the most suitable candidates will be the end-user, due to the fact there is the one that used the data based in their daily work. Data-based designers in another vital candidate because they are the ones that create the data-based and knows why the system fails. In order to do, so the designer will need strong input from the end-user (Coronel & Morris, 2017). The designer will also need to gather information on the potential company’s mission and organizational structure (Coronel & Morris, 2017).
There are various candidates that deal with the gathering information and analysis phase of the database. This phased is to understand and identify a business project’s requirement. This considers a crucial phase towards any potential projects Maheshwari (2021). An Ideal business analyst is entitled to follow such vital steps of conducting surveys, brainstorming to complete a successful project. Interviews and clients are the most effective ways of gathering vital information Maheshwari (2021). The join application method is considering prototyping that involved stakeholders, developers, end-users, business analysts, and software engineers that collaborate during the workshop to established potential goals that will create a successful project Maheshwari (2021).

During the gathering and analysis phase of the database project the ideal candidates to gather information from are the end-users, the people who actually perform the work daily. Database designers will first need to determine why a current system has failed to perform. In order to do this, they will spend a lot of time talking to end-user (Coronel & Morris, 2017). The end-users will be able to provide information on what does and does not work as well as their opinions on what would allow them to do their jobs more efficiently. The designer needs to know more information about the organization as well, including their mission and how the organization is structured. This type of information would best be gained by management or others higher up in the organization. “. Company end users often cannot precisely describe the larger scope of company operations or identify the real problems encountered during company operations. Often the managerial view of a company’s operation and its problems is different from that of the end-users, who perform the actual routine work” (Coronel & Morris, 2017).
