Imagine that you have been employed by the Los Angeles county police department to formulate strategies that create positive relations between the police and their communities.
You will need to research strategies to accomplish this goal; utilize the GCU library and government websites.
Write a 1,000-1,250-word summary and analysis depicting positive community-policing strategies accounting for diverse cultures.
Include the following:
- From your research, assess the programs that have worked and those that have not. Utilize the strategies that work to formulate your recommended strategies police officers can use to enhance their approach to community policing and create positive relationships with those they serve.
- Forecast the direction that police departments need to go to continue to enhance police-community relations, given the current state of affairs.
