Philippians 4:8-9 helps assure that I will remain honest in my research and reporting the work of others in many ways. Starting with
the first two words, “Brothers and Sisters.” Paul assures me that I am not alone in doing this. He then reminds me to think before I act.
He tells me to think about being true and honorable before making any decisions. Lastly, he reminds me to that God will reward me with
peace for doing the right thing.
2 Corinthians 8:21 helps assure that I will remain honest in my research and reporting the work of others by reminding me to
simply do what is right. It is important for me to remember to do what God “accepts” as right and do what people “think” is right, and not
the opposite.
It is essential that Christians read their bibles. It is scriptures like Philippians 4:8-9 and 2 Corinthians 8:21 that help use through
temptations. God knew that it would be hard to live the life he wants us to. That is why he left us messages like this, to keep us
encouraged. I will continue to use the resources God has left me to help me do the right thing when temptations arise.

To me, honesty begins with yourself. Are you honest with yourself? Are you honest with God? I used to hear my mother say, “Honesty is the best policy”. However, honesty is the best policy. Whatever we do in life, we must do it like Christ would want us to. If not, dishonesty could ruin our reputation. As 2 Corinthians 8:21 states, “Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.” Therefore, during my research, I will give credit where it is due. I understand that authors have worked hard for their research and shared their valuable information with us, so they deserve credit for their hard work as I will someday wish the same for mines.
