  1. Talk about an issue/topic. Then, find
one scholarly peer-reviewed article on that topic.
  2. I have chosen one of the following multimodal genres: blog entry. You will compile Genre Materials on this genre.

A. Locate three successful examples of your genre, annotating them to highlight features
unique to that genre.

  1. Compile a list of best practices and genre conventions, noting which features are
standard across all examples and which vary from example to example.
  2. Create detailed how-to instructions for using this genre successfully. Your how-to
instructions should incorporate the best practices you’ve identified, as well as provide
any tips or tricks for someone using this genre to convey information. Note: you do not
need to provide instructions for creating an account on any platform.
  3. submit a final version of their Genre Materials (three annotated
examples, how-to instructions, and a genre conventions list) as one document

Then part two:

In a second document, you will translate your scholarly article into the multimodal genre you’ve researched and compiled Genre Materials on the translation should apply the
knowledge of this genre that you’ve gathered throughout this project.
