DIRECTIONS – Print-out this assignment, write your answers on it by hand, then scan it (or else photograph it with your SmartPhone). (OR: If you know how to seamlessly upload this into your own software and not do it by hand, then do that, OR: similarly upload it into your touch-screen tablet or iPad, or whatever…) But whatever way, make sure to write your name in your own hand, even if you have to do so clumsily with your cursor.
Then, submit directly into the CANVAS Assignment #4 “Discussion Page” by clicking the “reply” arrow…the Editor Box appears, and you can either cut-and-paste directly into it, or click the “paper clip” icon at the bottom-left to attach a file. After you post, you can view other student posts.
The questions deal with last week’s material on the distribution of Air Temperature, and with this week’s introduction go Air Pressure and Atmospheric Winds (focusing especially on “Weather (“Wx” or “Isobar”) Maps”).
(This assignment is meant to prepare you to answer the same types of questions on Exam #2; so don’t just do it to turn something in, do it as active preparation for the next exam!)
Remember, for the material on Isobar Maps and Winds, I’m going to post some “debriefing” Videos to directly help guide you through some of the questions associated with the Wx Maps on the last two pages. Oh boy, that’s sure swell to know!
HERE’S A DOWNLOADABLE COPY of the assignment (in either “docx” or “pdf” format):
