I would like you to describe and analyze some aspects of global change (e.g., accelerated glacial melting) or landscape change(e.g. tropical forest deforestation), as detailed below in the 3 questions:
Make sure your paper addresses these three points:
1. Do you feel like our Biosphere is in danger? If so, what aspect most worries you and why? If not, what issue do you think is getting too much hype and why?
2. What sources of evidence exist that suggest that this issue is real or legitimate? Google is a tool, not a reference. You can use that search engineto discover your references, but you do need to find real resources –web or print. Smoothly integrate what you learn from your references into your writing.
3. What role does your chosen field / major play in creating or maintaining a sustainable Biosphere? I am not looking for “recycle more” or “drive less” or “buy a hybrid car”. Really think about this. Research what others in your field are already doing, and see how you can build on that!
