Hello everyone,

The career path I have chosen is a Human Resources Manager. A Human Resources manager’s purpose is to plan, coordinate, and organize a workplace. They advise management on how to work with their employees. Also, consult managers on human resources issues such as rules and regulations that must be followed at all times. Human Resources managers also handle the interviewing, hiring, and firing processes.

The entry-level education is at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business management, and education. To become a Human Resources Manager, I will also need at least five years of experience. It is common for beginners like myself to start a career to gain experience as a human resources specialist or labor relations specialist. A Human Resource Specialist is still a good job based on the 2020 Median Pay, which is $63,490 per year. But I am a single mother, and I want to make sure that my son and I can live comfortably. A Human Resources Manager makes about $121,220 per year.

Overall, this career path will be perfect for me because I love planning and keeping things organized. In my eyes, a workplace environment should be like a nice river. I understand there will be some big rocks that shake the boat but creating a strategic plan is important to keep a company running successfully. It is also important to ensure that the good employees stay at the business.

Thank you,

Keanna Oeland
