Assessment Description

Stakeholders are an important part of supporting student success. Each stakeholder offers a unique perspective about ways to meet student needs. Determining which feedback will result in positive adjustments to a curriculum map is an important part of stakeholder collaboration.

Allocate at least 4 hours in the field to support this field experience.

For this field experience, share your partially completed curriculum map from Topic 3 with your mentor and at least two other stakeholders (district-level support, administrator, content area specialist, special education teacher, technology specialist, other content area instructors). Gather feedback that will support positive adjustments to your curriculum map.

Questions to ask may include, but are not limited to:

What are your expectations when using/creating district curriculum?

What type of collaboration do you participate in or expect when curriculum is being created?

  • How can I incorporate more diversity into my curriculum? How have you successfully supported cultural diversity?
  • How can I integrate various types of technology into my curriculum? How have you successfully integrated technology?
  • How do you monitor student success and adjust the curriculum map when necessary?
  • Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the mentor teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.
