Part One – Create TWO Original Owned Messages
Review the lecture material on “owned messages.” Once you feel confident, write TWO COMPLETE OWNED MESSAGES. For your owned messages choose two distinct, original situations (real or hypothetical) to write about. To earn credit for your submission, please use original situations; do NOT use situations or examples from the lecture or the book.
Be sure to follow all the guidelines from the lecture and power points and write clear, distinct statements for each of the parts as if you were talking to the person. Pay careful attention to the wording to reduce the likelihood of a defensive reaction in the receiver of the message.
Submit your owned messages by start of class time next Tuesday. You will be giving and receiving peer feedback on your owned messages, so it important to submit them on time to have the opportunity to get feedback and earn points for doing peer reviews.
