Please compose a 1-page (minimum) response, double spaced in essay format, that expresses your overall thoughts and conclusions about the novel, as well as your own personal reaction to it.
Some questions to consider: What did you think of this novel? Did you like it? Hate it? Do you feel indifferently about it? Why? What interested you or offended you the most about it, or what did you like the least? If you’ve read the novel before, how has your understanding of it deepened or changed? What are some interesting things that Mary Shelley does in this novel, that you might not have noticed before reading it this time? What lasting thoughts linger in your mind upon finishing the book? How do you feel about the novel’s end? Has the book changed or broadened your thinking about anything? Has it impacted you personally in any sense? How so?
You do not have to answer all of these questions — they are simply meant to inspire your response! Pick and choose which ones you have the most to say about and address them in a cohesive essay.
Please give me an authentic response — not simply the response that you think I want to hear!
Lastly, do include critical contemplations of elements such as genre and theme in your response — in other words, please do think beyond the plotline of the story
