Select one of the companies listed in the table on page 98 (Chapter 3) or a company you are currently working for to research their labor and human rights standards, code of ethics, and corporate social responsibility policies. Discuss how these policies affect the company’s purchasing policies and procedures in supplier selection and purchasing practices. Relate your discussion to topics presented in Chapter 3 concerning how organizations address these areas within their purchasing policies and procedures. Note: Use the company’s website and research articles that address a situation that occurred within the company that addresses these areas. For example, how a company dealt with an environmental issue or a labor issue relating to working conditions or the treatment of employees that impacted using a supplier.

Then, discuss how it is used within companies, what type of products are more appropriate for this method, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of this method.
