Then write a 700- to 1000-word paper that identifies three (3) companies, perhaps including your current employer, where you would like to work in the future and why, then in a 1-paragraph ‘elevator speech’ summarize your background and what makes you potentially valuable to those companies and last, show a three to five step plan for contacting those companies and successfully engaging the people who make or significantly influence the hiring decision.
Cite a minimum of three sources from popular media (magazines, newspaper, and online media) that illustrate your points.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines including Section Headings that cover important points in the assignment.
Points will be awarded based on overall Content with respect to the assignment (2 points), Organization/Development with respect to flow from introduction to conclusion (1 point) and Mechanics for spelling, grammar, use of Section Headings and other APA guidelines. (1 point) Points will be deducted for short or late papers.
