Part One- For this assignment you will create 2 different menus. They should each be for a different cultural. The two menus will be for Italians and Asians.  Make sure the meal plan meets the RDAs for each at https://www.choosemyplate.gov/SuperTracker/

Copy and paste the Super Tracker Food Group and Calories Report and the Nutrient Report information into your project so you are able to show the food group comparison and the nutrients totals for each culturally appropriate menu.

Your finished project should contain 3 parts, your created menus, the Food Group and Calorie Report and the Nutrient Report.

 

Part Two-

Please revisit your completed Assignments in Week 1 (24 hour recall- food journal- the attached link) and (the menus you created in part one). Next, answer the following questions based the foods you provided in both of those Assignments:

  1. List all the complete proteins you consumed.

  2. List all the incomplete proteins you consumed.

  3. Identify which food(s) has the highest quality protein.

  4. Why is it important to spread consumption of good-quality protein throughout the day?

  5. Is protein deficiency common in the United States?
