Go to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Links to an external site.). Take some time to peruse the site and become familiar with it.
Then, use the Federal Agencies tab to navigate to under the Laws, Regulations, Guidance and MOUs link. Locate two laws or regulations that interest you. Read them and then write a brief history of each and the purpose of the law. Please include any historical references or court cases which might have been the basis for the law. For this assignment, you will summarize each law and note any case law which might have brought the law into existence.
For example, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act is an amendment to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This act was created as a subsection of the Civil Rights Act and it specifically outlines what is considered discrimination against pregnant females. (Do not use this example)
