After reading Chapter 4 and the articles by Hardin and Ostrom, please respond to the the following questions about common pool resources.
What is the “tragedy of the commons” and what is an example of an environmental challenges that can be described as a common pool resource problem that you see occurring today? Why are you concerned about the problem? How might Ostrom’s principles be applied to improve the issue?
