1. Watch the video “What is SWOT and how is it used” (posted in Module 4). Complete a comprehensive SWOT analysis for the company your group is working on. Provide at least 3 major items in each of the four categories. Remember that S and W focus on internal factors whereas O and T focus on the external factors.
2. Next step, based on the SWOT analysis, and following the instructions in the video, you need to discuss what possible actions the firm can take. List at least 2 actions in each combination of the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats.
3. Identify the firm’s business-level and corporate-level strategies. Are they successful? Why?
4. Based on the research and the information you gathered, provide an performance matrix using the balanced scorecard approach. For the financial category and possibly others, please provide quantitative evidence. For this, you can look up the firm’s financial statements, such as annual reports, 10-K filings on the SEC Edgar website (https://www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml).
