In the early 2000s, the smartphone turned the digital consumer from a static shopper on a computer, to an active, engaged, mobile shopper and user.
What new technologies, whether software, hardware, or both, are being developed and to be applied in the near-future, that will impact and potentially influence the digital consumer? For example, Amazon’s launch of the Amazon Go Store eliminates the need of using a wallet, and checking out at a register, and many stores and even airlines enable customers to pay wirelessly with their phone-App.
