Application #3 – An Empirical Practice (20 points)
Go to the library – for a book titled “Measures
for Clinical Practice” . (authors names are Fischer and Corcoran)
Review the various measures that can be used in a clinical practice and select one.
Administer and score the measure – over a period of time – at least 5 times over a period of a least three
weeks (once a week would be better). You can administer it to yourself or someone else you know. The
choice of instruments and subject is completely up to you.
Write a brief report.(400 words) Include the following information:
•the name of the measure you used
•what it is supposed to measure
•the validity and reliability statistics
•the time frame for administration (e.g. did you take the test once a day for 4 days or every other day or
once a week for 4 weeks)
•the 5 scores obtained (in the order they occurred)
•was there a change in scores over time?
•what do you think the change (or lack of change) means.

for Clinical Practice” – the first edition is in one book, the second edition and fourth editions (authors names are Fischer and Corcoran)
