This project has 2 parts ( paper and a presentation ), Please follow the instructions fully and carefully. Read it all before taking this assignment!
1- you are to submit a written report (double spaced Word document, 12-point Times Roman font with 1-inch margins). Reports must be 12 not including cover page, appendices, in-text citations, and references. At least 10 references required, you are welcome to do more. It must include an executive summary at the beginning. A brief description of the project, its purpose and your role should be included as background information. A SWOT analysis is required too. ( a similar project will be attached only to help you to see the structure of the paper and the presentation).
– What is the project? It suppose to be a quick reference guide for all of the departments in the organization that I’m working at. I will provide powerpoints slides to help you, but you will need to do some online searching to pull more info. You can use any program that you might see the best for creating a reference guide for all the departments EXCEPT pwerpoints slides. The company is university of maryland medical system health plans. I only need quick reference guide for the departments mentioned in the powerpoint slides I’m going to provide. When conducting research, you should think about all of the other things that impact your topic. Possible questions that may uncover additional scholarly articles: Is the problem being experienced by my organization shared/experienced by others in the organization? Is this a problem that happens throughout the healthcare industry? What solutions have others implemented to resolve this issue? What are the underlying causes of the problem and what’s the history of those? Etc. Do it however you like as long as it has the same table of content as the “sample paper” I’m attaching.
– UMMSHP Company Structure file has all the department that needs to be in your quick reference guide
– New hire orientation file is just for giving you a background of the company and all of that.
– Internship project will help you with the structure of the paper and the presentation
2- a presentation after finishing up the paper: it should be brief. an example of a presentation is in the word doc to help you create a presentation. Please do it separately with powerpoint. most importantly that it has “side notes” so I can read from that while presenting.
