Final Exam Project

The Final Exam Project represents a compilation of what has been the focus of this course.

Background:

Funding has been made available for you to design a program to benefit adolescents (adjudicated and/or non-delinquents) in your community (Washington DC). Community Leaders consisting of the clergy, district police representatives, advisory neighborhood commissioners (ANC’s), Ward representatives, active civic minded neighbors, local school board representatives etc.. have met with you through a series of ZOOM meetings to develop a comprehensive Youth Services Center. The center is to be designed to attract, engage youth to be more active in their community through various neighborhood projects and center-based programs that educate and prepare the adolescents for adulthood through a variety of activities in which they will often be requested to develop their own mini-program.

The Task:

Plan what the proposed youth services center will offer and write the proposal to access the funding. Attached is the Washington Regional Association Grant makers Common Grant Application, which I have edited to simplify what you need to do. Please indicate the type of program you would like to do if given the funding.

Please remember to develop the budget and to include all items you will need to be successful. Basically, follow the instructions, and remember to cite your article sources in support of your program. Lastly, for this final exam proposal, I use “project” and “program” interchangeably.
