Company Financial Analysis Report. The company I would like to use is WalMart or Apple.

Prepare a paper analyzing a publicly traded company:

• Select any publicly traded company
• Title page
  • Company name
• Write a short, two-four paragraph about the company
  • Detail industry, competition, performance over the last year
  • Summarize top managements outlook for the future
• Obtain the company’s financial statements
  • Conduct ratio analysis, using the ratios presented in class (minimum of 2 ratios from each category), for at least two years
  • Write a short, two-four paragraph discussion of your ratio analysis, including the short-term trend for each ratio (up or down from the previous year) and how each ratio compares to the preferred ratio levels discussed in class
  • Compare and discuss changes, year-to-year comparison, for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows; especially noting changes in sales, net income, current assets, total assets, current liabilities, total liabilities, owner’s equity, operating activities, financing activities, and investing activities
• Determine and discuss if the company pays a dividend
  • What is the current dividend amount, the dividend payout, and the dividend yield
  • If the company doesn’t pay a dividend, note it in your paper
• Determine the closing stock price appreciation or decline between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019
  • If date falls on a weekend or holiday, use the next business day
• Calculate and discuss the return to shareholders during the above period (dividends paid + Capital Gains/Loss)/closing share price on September 1, 2018
• Discuss on how many shares of stock are outstanding
  • Has there been a stock split in the last four years
  • If so, how did the price react after the stock split
• Discuss what is the P/E for the company
  • In your opinion is the P/E high, low, or at the correct market level compared to the average P/E for the S&P 500
• Discuss what is the price history for the company
  • What is the trend for the last month, year-to-date, 1 year
• Conclusion
  • What is your opinion of the management of the company
  • What is your opinion on the performance of the company
• References/Citations page on sources used

The paper should be 5 to 10 pages, including the title page.

Prepare a PowerPoint presentation with a slide for the following:

• Title slide
  • Company name
  • Class (Northwood University FIN 3010)
  • The student’s name
  • Semester and date
• Info about the company
  • Detail industry, competition, performance over the last year
• Ratio analysis
  • Calculated ratio results and how each ratio compares to the preferred ratio levels discussed in class
