How to create a treatment plan for your presentation
Your treatment plan for this presentation needs to have 3 goals
– Good goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound
– Goals are more general and related to what the client wants to achieve in therapy
Each goal needs 2 measurable objectives with target dates
– Objectives are more specific and detail what the client and/or therapist must do in order to achieve the goal
– Target dates are the time frame for when that specific objective and/or goal should be accomplished
Example for Generalized Anxiety Disorder
– Goal: Client will decrease feelings of anxiety
– Objective 1: Client will identify 5 situations/triggers associated with feelings of anxiety
Target date- 11/24/21
– Objective 2: Client will learn and implement 5 coping skills to help reduce feelings of anxiety
