Fayetteville Community College Computer and Operating System Presentation

An essential requirement of memory management is to provide ways to dynamically allocate portions of memory to
programs at their request and free it for reuse when no longer needed. Memory management is critical where more than a
single process might be running at any given point in time.

In this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation describing the memory management process used in modern
operating systems. Ensure you explain the different types of memory management schemes, describe the importance of
memory allocation, and examine the difference between main and virtual memory.

Your presentation must contain the elements listed below:
title slide (choose an appropriate theme);
a minimum of 12 content slides, including at least two figures or graphs to support your content; and
reference slide.
Your PowerPoint presentation must be a minimum of 12 slides in length, not counting the title slide and reference slide. You
are expected to consult outside sources (i.e., go beyond what has been presented in the lesson). Add additional information
in the speaker notes section of the slides.
It would be beneficial to use at least one other source besides your textbook for developing this PowerPoint presentation. All
sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying
citations and be cited per APA style.
