Please read carefully I have explained everything in this report which is worth 70% of the course

This is an individual 2700 piece of coursework, which will need to use references, avoid plagiarism and/or working with others. See guidance on academic offences and the study skills session. The coursework asks you to choose a context and then poses a question relating to the theories presented in the module.

Step 1: Please choose one context from*:

Family Business

Step 2: Draw on your context to answer this question:

Critically discuss the legitimacy challenges that might face an entrepreneur in your chosen topic area (i.e. from list above). In addition, drawing on suitable examples from a country or countries of your choice, critically evaluate the use of policy and/or other interventions to assist entrepreneurs in your chosen topic area

ANALYSIS, ANALYSIS AND MORE ANALYSIS!!!

Definitions and descriptions only get you so far, the majority of marks come from analysing:

Comparing theories/frameworks/perspectives (similarities)

Contrasting theories/frameworks/perspectives (differences)

Find strengths and weaknesses

Noting benefits and limitations

Critiquing

Illustrating points with references and (short) examples

Counter viewpoints

Offering implications

We want an argument to the question which delivers a conclusion.

Structure your argument: use an introduction and have a conclusion, try to build up your own arguments as you go along.

Evidence is key –bring in theorist’s names and author’s points of view. Can you link several viewpoints together? (contrasts/ similarities) How does one author build on the work of another? Why are their findings contradictory?

Provide references – Harvard System.

Use examples/ case studies to highlight an issue but we don’t need long descriptions. Just connect the example to your arguments succinctly and more on.
