EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT

Extra Credit Assignment is Voluntary

There are a lot of interesting current events happening with respect to labor relations. Some of you have mentioned them in your posts. They may be things you read about in the news or things going on in your town or local union/job site.

At your discretion you can write an essay about a current event impacting labor relations. In reporting the event, indicate how it is relevant to our lessons and, in particular, the extent to which it does or does not impact industrial relations in construction.

These are the parameters

Current means within the last 12 months
It must address – be relevant to one of our course topics; demonstrate how what you learned in class sheds light on this event.
You must have some documentation associated with the event to verify it is a real event. (this may be harder for those of you doing something at your local union or job site. A related handout/flyer/Facebook page notice etc. will suffice)
1-2 pages of text (At least 1 complete page (top to bottom). A minimum of 500 words.
Extra 25 points maximum
Due by the end of the semester; last day of class. (there is a spot for it in Module 7).
