I’m working on a writing practice test / quiz and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Questions:
- Compare the IRA to the PKK. What are the motivations of the two groups? What are they hoping to achieve? Are there any similarities to either their goals or their methods?
- From your readings and research into Boko Haram (“Western Education is Forbidden”), describe the group’s ideology, motivation and tactics. Are they religious, ethnic, nationalist, etc. in nature? Based on the literal translation of their abbreviated name (shortened from “The People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet’s Teaching and Jihad”) do you feel they are a threat to the US? Why or why not?
