SLP Assignment Expectations

In the third Session long Project, you will use an actual IBISWorld report to prepare Excel spreadsheets and graphs.

For the industry that you selected, you will use the “Industry Performance” tab and also the “Industry Outlook” tab.

  • On the “Industry Performance” tab, scroll down to Revenue Growth and you will see a small green Excel icon that will open up once you click on the icon with the Revenue Growth data. Once you have the Excel spreadsheet with the data for “Revenue Growth”:
  1. Please highlight the data in columns A and B, then create a Column Chart illustrating the Revenue $ million data. For example,
  2. Use Excel to calculate the Average for “Revenue $ million”
  3. Add this information to Column B (towards the bottom of the dataset)
  4. Use Excel to calculate the Sum for “Revenue $ million”
  5. Add this information to Column B (towards the bottom of the data set)
  6. Use Excel to calculate the Average for “Growth %”
  7. Add this information to Column C (towards the bottom of the dataset)
  8. Use Excel to calculate the Sum for “Growth %”
  9. Add this information to Column C (towards the bottom of the data set)
  10. Change the name of this Tab to Revenue Growth
