Discussion: Evaluating Blogs
For this discussion you will search the web for a list of “Top” communications blogs and learn more about how you can use blogs for strategic communication purposes.
Your Task: To start, make sure you have carefully read all of this week’s readings. Then search the web for a list of “Top” communications blogs. Spend some time reviewing your search results and identify one list that you find helpful as a communication professional. Make some notes about what you see-trends, surprises, information that could be useful to you in your profession.
For your initial post, post a link to the list of “Top” communications blogs that you found the most helpful as a communication professional and respond to the following questions in a 75-100 word narrative.
- Why did you choose the list that you did over other lists that you explored in the activity?
- Identify one blog that you were aware of prior to completing this activity and compare it to one you didn’t know about. How are they different? How are they similar? Which one is more helpful?
- What did you learn from this exercise that is relevant for your personal use of social media and your professional development as a strategic communication professional?
