Paper Instructions
You are going to write about an immigration enforcement policy of international migration going into the United States. The policies could be interior enforcement, border enforcement, or externalized enforcement. The immigration enforcement policy you will write about is: Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965
- This should be one page, 5 paragraphs, double spaced
- The first and last paragraphs should be short intro and conclusion paragraphs.
- The three paragraphs in the middle should be the immigration enforcement policy, the causes of the policy, and effects of the policy.
- Don’t be artistic. Just write clearly and logically and be explicit about your points.
- Cite your sources with parenthetical citations in text (Author Year), and then provide a works cited page
- Include a short introduction/conclusion for each paragraph
- My professor will deduct points for the following:
- Not using default page margins, Times New Roman size 12 font, double spaced
- Not citing sources. You don’t need a flood of citations. I just need 3 or 4 citations minimum to tell me that you used sources.
- Sources can be news articles, academic journal articles, books, or other reputable sources.
- Not clearly stating the immigration enforcement policy that you are discussing in the assignment (for future assignment, replace “migration trend” with “migration policy” in some cases)
- Not clearly describing key features of the policy, causes of the policy, and effects of the policy
