The Research Paper Assignment is a writing space for you to pull from all of the readings and research throughout the semester.
The paper should be a 5 page academic paper that is both informative and persuasive. Your works cited is a separate page.
It should include at least 8 sources from credible academic resources, which can include trustworthy charts, graphs, and images.
You will choose the type of academic paper and the discipline specific rhetorical strategies you will follow to create the writing.
The following guidelines outline the basics of the writing:

- The writing must include appropriate source citations according to MLA style.
- The writing must be presented in accordance with the guidelines for MLA presentation of papers.
- The writing will be a minimum of 5 pages with at least 8 credible academic sources.
- The writing will be free of grammar/punctuation/spelling errors in accordance with standard written English.
- The writer will use appropriate vocabulary, word choice, and sentence structure for the intended audience.
- The writing content will be thoroughly discussed, with in-depth content that helps the reader understand the writer’s purpose and message.
- The writing will show purposeful use of rhetorical strategies to engage the reader.
- The writing will be organized in a logical, seamless strategy that helps the reader understand clearly the connections the writer is attempting to make.
- The writing may include headings and subheadings if the disciplinary approach warrants such techniques.
- The writing may include images, charts, tables, graphs as appropriate and with the required notations and labels.
