  • This week, you will create a classification paper about yourself.
    • Choose 2 or 3 important traits you have that make you unique.
    • Remember, you will write in third person, although the paper is about you.
  • First, create a thesis.
    • Your thesis should include:
      • the noun to refer to you (Not your name)
      • the 2 or 3 items
      • reference (i.e. goals or traits)
  • After creating your thesis. . .
    • Breakdown your thesis into topic sentences.
      • For this assignment, you will have four paragraphs.
  • Once finalizing your thesis and topic sentences. . .
    • Develop your paper. 
    • Do not use quotes or paraphrasing in this paper. (Next week will focus on citing to avoid plagiarism.)
    • Make sure sentences and paragraphs flow from one to the next with the use of transitions.
    • For the introductory paragraph. . . (does not have to be in this order)
      • Add your attention getter.
      • Include background. (i.e. This could be a sentence or two about the definition and/or importance of traits.)
      • Create a thesis statement.
