Prepare a 3-column 1-page handout that summarizes each of the developmental reading stages (prereader, beginning reader, and reader) and each of the beginning stages of writing (preliterate, partially literate, emerging, preoperational level of thought, and concrete operational level of thought).

Identify 3 similarities between the reading and writing stages.
