ENG 124 CC Book Question of God by Armand M Nicholi Discussion

Question: In the Epilogue of The Question of God, the tantalizing question remains of just who that young Oxford scholar was who visited the elderly Dr. Freud. Dr. Nicholi notes that we will never know who that young scholar was, but the two families are connected due to Jill Fluett Freud. Let’s play a “what if” game. For this closing entry, everyone gets to imagine the conversations that might have emerged had these two intellectual giants from the 20th century met. Write two paragraphs explaining, hypothetically, what topics you think these two gentlemen would have discussed, had they met. You have read this whole book, and you have had time to note the similarities and dissimilarities in these two gentlemen, but one can’t help but note their great interest in the world of ideas. So, now you have an opportunity to write two paragraphs of what you think they would have discussed and why. Use the book to back up your conclusions. For those of you who are budding creative writers, this might be a time to explore a little invented dialogue between these two men followed by your paragraphs of explanation.
