What do I know and what do I hope to learn about Energy Industrial Safety? During this course, we will be focused on an overview for industrial workers of state/federal regulations and guidelines which require industrial safety training.

  • Describe the basic components of safety, health, and environmental systems as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
  • Describe Hazardous Waste Operator (HAZWOPER) Standards
  • Locate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and interpret data.
  • Select and don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform Lockout / Tagout procedures.
  • Complete a confined space and hot work permit.
  • Select and employ fall protection equipment.
  • Fill out a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
