Choose a disaster from Part 2 or
Part 3 in the text and conduct a critical analysis of the event to include a
history of the event under examination; a hazard identification list and a
description of 3-4 hazards; a vulnerability analysis that includes the impact
of an event on life, health, safety, the economy, and infrastructure
particularly of critical facilities; and mitigation approaches.
The research paper must
include the University CORE Value of Excellence integrated into the work as a
scholarly paper based on extensive research. You may use the required readings
in your references list, but most of the references should be peer-reviewed
journal articles.
The research paper must include a
cover page, abstract, table of contents, discussion organized by level
headings, a conclusion, and a references page.
These essays must be a minimum of
1,500 words in length; must pertain to the topic for the particular module;
include applicable cites and references; and is written to APA standards that
include a cover page, an abstract, discussion with level headings, a
conclusion, and references. The paper must be double spaced and use the font
New Times Roman and the font size of 12.
