Each student (individually) is required to write a short paper (3 to 5 pages) that describes a technology application in a local organization. You may choose your own organization for easier access to information. The paper can be submitted towards the end of the semester. The paper should include the following sections:
1. Introduction about the organization
2. Description of the IT department in the organization (vision/mission of the
department, size, org. structure, leadership team, position of the IT department
in the organization, maturity level, etc.)
3. Technology or Application: select a technology (or technologies) or an
application that is recently implemented in the organization (new technology, ERP system, enterprise application, business solution, software package, etc.) and provide description on it.
4. Benefits and challenges: describe how the organization benefited from the new technology or application. Also, provide set of challenges in the implementation of this technology or application.
5. Recommendations: based on the topics discussed in class and your analysis, provide set of recommendations to the situation described in 3 & 4 above
