In this laboratory project you are tasked with understanding and demonstrating crystal lattice responsible for
the properties of major semiconductor materials using the simulation tool available at Nanohub.

For the report, I want to have the image to support the report. Clear calculation, also the calculation I need to have step by step.

1. Discussion of the effect of chemical-bond nature on crystal structures and physical properties of materials
in general.
2. Discussion/analysis of your general assertions, specifically for GaAs and NaCl.
3. Visualization of the crystal structures from NanoHub Crystal Viewer of GaAs and NaCl
4. Visualization of the major planes (100), (110), (111) and isolation of the 2D unit cells for both compounds.
5. Calculations of atomic density/packing efficiency of cells and atomic density of crystallographic planes.
6. Calculations of alloy lattice parameters using Vegard’s Law.
7. Graphs regarding Vegard’s Law.
8. Discussion on your interpretations of implications of Vegard’s Law.
9. General discussion on your findings and how they relate to what you are learning in class.
