Discussion of the Research-Advanced Writing Skills & Research to Practice.(Claim 1-Academic content/General knowledge & 2-Pedigogy/Teaching skills Cross cutting theme 1-Learning to learn, Program Goals – Advanced Writing, Research to Practice, Higher Level Thinking)
Write an 8-10 content page paper (for reading specialist, special education or if you are both – 2 papers). Use APA format. Summarize and respond to the resources that you have chosen in your area of interest about Special Education or Reading Specialist and on which you wrote your Annotated Bibliography. If you are in both programs, you will write 2 papers. Remember the New Bloom’s Taxonomy as you write a response using your higher level thinking skills. Draw on your creativity, goal setting, analysis, and application of the information when you describe and reflect on your topic and exhibit your advanced thinking and writing skills.
Remember whether you are Special Education, Reading Specialist or both – in your writing, be sure to link evidence of your understanding of differentiated instruction, use of technology, innovation & standards driven instruction in your lesson planning (particularly in the ability to integrate standards into your lesson plans).
- Show your continuous path of improvement as you exhibit advanced writing and thinking skills.
- Give an analytical explanation that addresses how you were impacted by this research information and how this might apply to your teaching practice.
- Describe how the content of these articles will impact your practice.
- Describe how you use research in your practice.
- Discuss your specific goals with regard to how the topic or topics you chose for your paper will specifically impact your practice.
