I am working on a research proposal, and would like some help
addressing the 3 questions at the bottom. Here is some context first:
Participants: approximately 100 college students, United States
Research Question: What is the relationship between students’ self-esteem and their academic performance?
Research Design:
- a non-experimental, correlational quantitative research design
- Will use online surveys/questionnaires as the tool to collect data
Variables:
- Predictor variable- self-esteem of students
- Criterion variable- academic performance of students
WORKING ON FOR STATISTICS/ METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS:
- How
would I analyze the data? It should be sophisticated research so
sophisticated, rigorous and systematic analysis. Specifically, What
analysis strategy do you think is appropriate? Why? - Are there any extraneous variables I should take a look at?
- Are
there any potential ethical concerns I should consider when doing this
study? Especially with the college student population and nature of data
being gathered.
