  • Motivates Students
  • Includes Author Information

Task
  • Provides a list of questions and goals – There should be one question for each learning objective/goal. For example, if the learning objective is: given a map of the united states, students will be able to identify each state. You will ask: Can you identify all 50 states on a map?
  • Provides an advance organizer of the overall activity in general terms (Example: flowchart or KWL Chart)

The purpose of the introduction is to set the scene/case for an activity, formulate questions and general goals for the activity, provide an advance organizer for the activity and motivate students to participate in the activity.
